Hi, I’m Vaishak — a software engineer from Kerala, now based in Seattle.
I’m currently at Meta, building control-plane infrastructure for managing stateful services at scale in the Core Systems Group. Before that, I spent 9+ years at Microsoft Azure working on distributed systems — things like A/B experimentation at fleet scale, Host OS update pipelines, and firmware update infrastructure for GPU clusters.
On the side I like tinkering: I’ve built local AI agents, built machine learning systems for fun, dabbled in Rust, and generally use personal projects as an excuse to learn things that don’t come up at work.
This blog is where I plan to write about AI infrastructure, developer tooling, distributed systems, and whatever else I’m figuring out. No fixed cadence — just things worth writing down.
